Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head

If you recal my posts from last year you may remember the amount of rain we get in late summer. it isn't that it rains frequently, but when it does rain it is hard and long.
A few friends had planned on a picnic and canoeing one Saturday afternoon. we all loaded up the diaper bags, coolers, and cars and took a 20 minute drive out to the lake. As soon as we pulled into the park it began to downpour. The canoe shack had a no rain policy so we had to turn around and go back home. About half way home we decided to try another park with a pavilion to eat under. We tried to stay dry, but the kids wouldn't have it. All they wanted to do was play on the playground. So out we went into the rain.

Notice that it is Stephan pushing AJ's swing...Aj loves Stephan more than anyone else outside of our little family. 

AJ loved playing at the splash park (which was turned off) . He splashed in all the rain puddles and was determined to ride this dolphin.

 On another instance I caught the rain in action. I didn't notice before how much water pools in our back yard. We get our very own swimming pool each time it rains.

And of course once it stops raining we have to go out and splash...I think it is time to get this little guy some rain boots.
