Unpacking and settling in

We were more than blessed to have our stuff already moved into our house. Joe's parents and our home teachers were so wonderful to do that for us. You see, we had signed a lease for our house, but the people living in it hadn't moved out by the time we needed to move in so we sent our things to storage. Joe's parents came out in early July to move everything from our storage unit into our house. Talk about service!!! We got home and everything was here waiting. We set to work unpacking.
AJ was eager to help.
He even helped with the vacuuming
We had to find many ways to keep AJ busy while we were unpacking things. The house seemed to be full of things he shouldn't touch, or rooms he shouldn't go into because there was stuff covering the floor.
We sent him out in our BACKYARD!!! yes that is right. We have a backyard of our very own.
He watched Toy Story in small bits and pieces.
We had to have a cable put into the office for the internet. It was a rough situation, but everything worked out for the best. And obviously we now have our internet up and running.
Drilling a hole for the cable.
Sadly, when a house isn't lived in it collects cobwebs and many bugs. We spent most of our first day sweeping out cabinets, wiping down walls and squishing numerous bugs. I thought we did a pretty good job, but I guess we didn't get them all.
The next morning AJ woke up with multiple red dots and lumps.
Some came from mosquitoes and some from spiders.
Every morning he would wake up with another 6 or 7 bites. We got out the sprays and did alittle bug bombing in his room. I think we have the situation under control now. Luckily none of his bites came from this ugly guy.
Opened the grill to get it started for hot dogs and found this guy making a new home.
we quickly killed it and burned out all the remains of his web, and enjoyed a nice hot dog dinner to welcome us home.
