So, Idaho apparently has the nicest people in the planet. We have had many positive experiences with the people here, but this story you are about to hear tops the cake. Joe and I had worked hard to pack up and be ready to head out. We had so much help from family and friends. Babysitting, cleaning, moving furniture, you name it and we had help. We realized late in the week that we still had a living social coupon that we hadn't used. It was for the Cornerstone Bistro: any appetizer and two entrees for $25. A pretty good steal at any restaurant. We had a babysitter set up so we hopped on the motorcycle and headed out to Middleton...little did we know it was 40 minutes out of town. Being on the back of a motorcycle is exhilarating and fun, but not for 40 minutes, at least not on this bike. We finally got there and walked up to the door.
Restaurant Hours: Friday and Saturday 4-10PM...it wasn't Friday and it wasn't Saturday...it was the middle of the week!!! The door was unlocked and we poked our heads in because there were lots of people eating inside. Maybe the door was missing a part of the schedule? A sweet lady came up and asked if we were with the Vegan Health Awareness group... Um, no. She looked puzzled. Then I realized it was a private party and the door wasn't wrong at all. we apologized for barging in and began to walk away. She stopped us and asked us when we would like to return. We told her we were moving and had a Living Social coupon that needed to be used, but we would just give it to someone else or not use it. She waved us back into the restaurant and led us back into the kitchen. The chef came out and told us to have a seat and he would make up a special menu just for us that night. He figured we had payed our money and he needed to hold up his end of the bargain...Wow, what a nice group of people. They sat us down at a private table and then the chef came out and proceeded to tell us what our menu options were. It all sounded amazing. We ordered and Joe asked if they had any lemonade. The waitress replied, "no, but I am sure I can make some for you." She headed back into the kitchen and few minutes later she came back with a glass full of fresh squeezed lemonade. Talk about service!
