Road trip

Driving across the country can be an amazing adventure, but it can also get a little tiresome after doing it 3 times in one year. This time we decided to make it less of a "road trip" and more of a "get there" trip. This time we were driving, while towing a 12 foot trailer with Joe's motorcycle and the borrowed furniture from the summer in it. Not as easy as it may seem. We got on the road and tried to find all we could to keep AJ busy.
This seemed to work the best. It resulted in a very messy car, but at least the boy was happy.
We had made it a few hours out of town when we noticed the trailer began to sway a bit. The people at UHaul informed us that if that happened it meant that we had too much weight in the back. We pulled over to shuffle a few things around. Joe got out to open the door...no keys. We were missing the key to our pad lock. So we searched every bag, every pocket and every inch of the car. Nothing. What to do now? Luckily there was a small town near by. We found a Walmart (surprised there was a Walmart here) and searched for a solution. Maybe bolt cutters would do the job. We picked out the heavy duty ones and *SNIP* the lock came right apart.
We fixed the trailer, closed the door, replaced the lock, checked for both keys and headed on our way.
After a day stop in Utah to drop off furniture and enjoy a family dinner we continued down the road.
Ate at a few nice restaurants
Napped a little
AJ was a big helper
Enjoyed the scenery
Kept AJ entertained
Found a little time to relax
And finally made it to Virginia.
Welcome to our new home! We can't wait to get all moved in. I promise a photo tour will follow soon. we will miss the West, but will enjoy our time in the East.
