We Made It!!!

After 6 more hours of this...

we finally made it to our new home! We were a little anxious to see what we ended up with since we did all our apartment shopping online. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. We got right to work setting things up. Steven and Kristen came over to help us move in. We really didn't bring much, so it didn't take long to set it all up.
AJ was so set on helping us clean everything up. He went to work.
...well most of it didn't take long. You see, we borrowed this crib from Joe's parents. It is a pretty old crib and has been in storage for a while. We spent a while trying to put it together. Turns out there were a few pieces missing. After 3 hours, a few trips to the hardware store and some zip ties AJ was finally able to go to sleep.

Finally at 10:00 he went to sleep.
After getting all put together here it is!!!

More kitchen (open to living room)
Living room. Thank you to Gammie and Potts for the couch and Katie and David for the tv stand and end table.
Dining room. Everything came from David and Katie.
The ever glorious LAUNDRY ROOM!!! I am so happy to have one of these again!
Bathroom. Linens provided by Jean and Keith.
AJ's room. Crib from Jean and Keith.
More bedroom. Book shelve from David and Katie.
Our bedroom. Really David and Katie saved our lives when it came to furniture. Thank you so much!
I know it is a little empty, but we don't mind. We really love living here. Saturday we spent the day filling our house with everything we left behind and then we headed out to get this.
Joe has his very own motorcycle! We decided it was cheaper than buying a second car, and let's be honest, we all know I have always secretly wanted one. I'm hoping to get my own license eventually.
After a very simple dinner we decided to take a walk. Our apartment is right on the greenbelt (bike path) between the lake and the river. This is what we found.
A giant group of Geese just outside our apartment
A view beyond belief. This is from across the lake looking at our apartment.
And the most beauitful Sunset to finish off our day.
We got back and Joe had bought me a house warming gift. Nothing says welcome home and heppy summer days ahead like a bouqet of bright flowers. Thank you sweetie. I can't wait to see what lies ahead for us this summer!
