The next few weeks were going to be quite the doozy. We had to clean, move, prepare for baby, and do all of this on separate ends of the country. I can't fly after 36 weeks, but Joe has to stay in VA to finish finals so our options were to stay in VA and have the baby there and fly out after recovery without Joe who would already be in Idaho or do the opposite and come out to Boise alone and have Joe get here just before the baby is born. We decided on the second option. I booked my flight and would leave on the 27th... however, what to do with AJ? Well since my parents were here for his party we made it a prayerful decision to send him back with them for a week before I followed on my own. This way we could get the house cleaned and prepared and I wouldn't have to tote a 2 year old around the airport while super pregnant. It worked out for everyone.

We gave AJ a blessing and put him to bed. We thought it would be hardest on him. Turns out that wasn't the case at all. As I woke up at 2 AM to get AJ ready to go I got teary-eyed and had a hard time saying goodbye. Joe snuggled him until the last moment when we put him in the car and watched them drive away.
Gammie tells me he was a complete gem the entire way. Can you believe it? A 17 hour trip with layovers and no fussing from the 2 year old? Wow, I think angels were with them that day.

While in Utah for the week he had a blast with all his cousins. Most of his cousins live pretty close and kind of use Gammie's house as a play hub. He even got to see Keith and Rebecca who were in town for a recital and pictures. They were so nice to take AJ out to see his other cousins at Crown Burger. Wish we could have been there too!

| Keith tells me he ate his whole milk shake using the straw as the spoon. :) |
Not only did he get to play, but he helped Gammie with some of the house work. He even took a stab at mowing the lawn... too bad a baby buggy was as close as he could find to a lawn mower.
Although we missed his real birthday, found ourselves saying little quotes all week long, facetimed any chance we got, asked for updates and pictures, and just missed his little guts we are so glad that Gammie and Potts were willing to help us out and take care of him for the week. We owe you big time!
Thank you!!!
