He did it! He made it through first grade. He made new friends, at a new school, in a new neighborhood.This kid sure is a trooper. He has moved so many times and has just rolled with the punches. I am so glad these new friends can be permanent (at least for a while!)
He adored his teacher, Mrs. Johansson. It was her first year teaching and she did great!
Another fun fact is that we will both be having babies in the same week! Girl for her, boy for me!
It just so happened that the last day of school also fell on National Donut Day, so to celebrate we went out to the best bakery in town, waited an hour and enjoyed some hot delicious maple bars.
The kids were so patient and good while we waited, and the people around us noticed. In fact a wonderful lady in front of us was so impressed with them that she bought our donuts for us. I tried to hurry out of the store to thank her, but she was nowhere to be seen, so, to the kid lady in front of us, thank you so so much!
