Our dear sweet friends in California had a wedding coming up. So I packed up my kiddos and headed out!
Cali or Bust: Day One~ We (Me, Andy, and Ari) couldn't be more excited about heading to Cali, but our day one of fun ended with food poisoning for this sweet little boy. He was up all night throwing up, but after a blessing and a few hours free of the yuckies we decided to move forward with our trip. We left AJ with a wonderful family friend (so he could perform in his kindergarten graduation) dropped Jaxon with Gammie and Potts and made the most of our trip.
Cali or Bust: Day Two~ We started out a little shaky because of Andy's long night with food poisoning, but after a few easy food and a quick nap he was good to go. We stopped at the Big Red Barn for apple cider slushies, playing matching in the car and played at the best pit stop ever. Thunder Junction in St George was a fantastic giant park and splash pad. We even got to ride the train. After we played so hard the kiddos were so worn out that it was time to call it a night. Early night for us!
Cali or Bust: Day Three~ We made it!!Hotels are always so fun for the kiddos. They had a blast just running around this morning before we left. We enjoyed some play time at Carl's Jr, which led to a few more yucky incidents in the car, but we made it to our final destination and look forward to helping out with all the wedding plans for the weekend.
Cali or Bust: Day Four~ Today we worked hard, played hard and of course topped it off with a quick trip to In'N'out. The kiddos loved it as much as I used to.
Cali or Bust: Day Five~ More playing today! we even got out on our own for a bit and took Andy's new scooter for a spin. Found a cute little park and enjoyed the perfect weather. We swam some more, of course. Wore ourselves out and helped with more wedding prep ( I made nearly 20 pounds of rice crispy treats today!) and got to meet up with Cody and his beautiful new (almost) wife for dinner. What a wonderful day!!
Cali or Bust: Day Six~ Today was the big day! Party preps and food prep happened all day long and then we got to party hard while the band played. (Not to mention Andy's explosive excitement over the chocolate fountain!) It was such a wonderful day and I am so grateful I was able to be a part of it. Congrats Cody and Jess! Love you!
These two! Where do I begin?! They are the greatest! I owe so much to this amazing couple. They have enhanced my life in so many ways. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family. I love you a million times over!
We drove all the way to Sandy the next morning so make it in time for some Memorial day fun!
