The boys had been reading heavily every day since the beginning of summer to earn "book bucks" to spend at the library fair. We ended up with over $80 to spend between the two of them. They had the time of their lives! It started with a parade down main street where everyone came out to cheer on the town reading champions.
Next we hit up all the games. We weren't' burning through our cash fast enough. We were going to be there all day!
Our most expensive activity was face painting, and the boys thought that was the coolest thing in the entire world.

Before we left we had 2 dollars left so I let each of them put in a guess jar with their names and number guesses for the gumballs. We walked away, and didn't think much more of it. About an hour later when the boys were sleeping our librarian came by the house and gave us a castle prize for having the right guess. Andy won! can't you believe it? He was so excited when he woke up!
Oh and look, after all that fun, we made it onto the front page of the Dillon Tribune! We are celebrities now!!
