The boys were excited to get into swimming lessons this year. We signed up for two sessions in a row and each boy passed easily. Andy was fearless and Aj was very determined.
Sometimes their classes would play games together at the end of class
After their first day. They look pretty pleased with themselves.

We realized that the city pool was right across from the community splash pad and park. So almost every day, we ended up sticking around to enjoy the warm weather and played until we were all out of energy. Since we were spending so much time in the sun I invested in a few must haves for the summer.
Our new get up! Sports umbrella and wagon to tote everything, including the baby.
On some days the city would bring lunch to the park and provide it free to all the kids under the age of 15. Lucky me. Transition from fun to Lunch was usually the hardest part of the day, but now it can all be piled into one whole activity!
We started out session 2 with excitement. They were excited to get new teachers and have class in a different part of the pool.
Sad thing was the weather was not as excited as we were. Luckily the water was heated and the kids were ok. Some days we were having lessons in 65 degree weather. A little chilly for outdoor lessons I think!
After each session ended they would take their last day to jump off the diving board. Andy needed a little encouragement, but they both did great!
They did it!
We rewarded them with snow cones and suckers! Way to go boys.
We took a little family trip to the pool so they could show off to Daddy everything they had learned. Aj was "swimming" all day long.
