On the Road Again... Headed Back East.

We're off once again. Poor boys had been in the car for 7 days already and then had to endure 4 more. They did pretty good for the most part.

Day one we stopped at Little America for ice cream and kept on heading east. We made it 2 hours further than we had planned that day. It was a great travel day. The boys were great, we had a lot of fun in the car laughing, singing, eating, and just enjoying each others company.

Day two was not as successful. I think we pushed the limit a little too much. After dinner we had a major meltdown. Both kids screaming, Joe getting frustrated with the noise and I had a migraine. Never a good combination. We would have stopped except the only problem with Nebraska is that there is close to nothing between the major cities. We finally made it to our hotel and crashed. 

Got a fresh start on day three and did just great. We had made up so much time each evening that we were able to cut a day off the end of the trip. One day closer to home. 

Aj decided today that he was done holding on in the pool and he wanted to swim all by himself. Not too bad for the first time. 

We did it!!!!! We finally made it. We had our friends Bug Bomb the house before we got home and it was a good thing we did. Dead spiders, centipedes, earwigs, and wasps everywhere. We set to work cleaning up before we put the boys to bed. AJ was so happy to be home. He was so excited to get to his toys that he got stuck in the book shelf before we had a chance to move it. Silly little boy.

We are home and we love it!!! Can't wait to get back in the swing of things and spend time with all of our good friends here.
