A dear friend's wedding

Joe has a dear friend from high school and college that just got married. She is a convert to the church and her marriage in the temple was a fantastic step in the right direction. We were invited to attend the sealing so we found a babysitter (my cousin Sierra) who lived close to the Salt Lake Temple and headed to the ceremony. We were so excited to be there for her. We pulled up to the temple and were very confused. The parking lot had a sign that said the temple was closed...WHAT!?! We were sure we were in the right place. Joe raced though his phone to find a text or message that might have told us otherwise. Turns out, we were in the wrong place. The sealing was at Timpanogos Temple not Salt Lake. Our hearts sank. We knew we wouldn't ever make it in time. So, we picked up AJ and drove 45 minutes to get there just in time to see them come out of the temple.
She looked so happy and so beautiful. we were so sad we couldn't make it to the sealing, but she was having a ring ceremony for those who are not members of the church. We would be sure to make it to that.
Audrey was having her baby shower the same day and so I left for that while AJ napped and put Joe in charge of Ashley's wedding gift. we loved all the verbal advice we got form others and wish we could remember it all, or have it written down somewhere, so we did just that for Ashley. Joe spent a good hour or so writing down words of advice and encouragement for the couple. Stuck it in a jar with a check and sent it off.
We picked out this lid just for the occasion. Joe :)
The ring ceremony and reception were beautiful. We got to see a few old friends and catch up with them.
Joe's best friends from high school. It was so fun to see them all together.
Joe's mom even got to fly in for the wedding. it was so fun to have her around and AJ loved spending time with his grandma.
We obviously had a great time!
