Halloween

Halloween is always a big hit in this house. After our successful spudnut party we were looking forward to the activities that were sprinkled throughout the week.

Family Home Evening: First of course came the traditional pumpkin carving Family Home Evening on the Monday just before halloween.
From left to right: Joe, Emily, AJ, Andy
Trick-r-treating at the college: Every year the college has the dprm students decorate their halls and hand out candy to the kiddos. We had a super fun time. AJ was bouncing from door to door correcting anyone who called him Robinhood. He was Peter Pan and he knew it. :)
Andy biffed it big time on our way over to the activity.
My super cute Smee
Tucker joined us for the festivities (using Aj's old Snoopy costume)
Gma and Papa visit: Jean and Keith were driving through, making a cattle delivery and so they spent the night! It had just been Papa's brithday so we made a super yummy mud pie to celebrate together. Gma brought amazingly huge cinnamon rolls from Wheat Montana that Aj thoroughly enjoyed!
Library activities:Our sweet little library always has such fun activities. We will frequently attend Books and Babies each week. This week we had crafts, songs and stories.
Finally Halloween day! we had a jam packed schedule. Joe even got into the spirit a little at work and changed into his glasses and secret costume. Hidden in plain sight I guess!
Cake Pops: I had my first cake pop order, which means...I had to experiment a tiny bit. :) In the end it all turned out.
Chamber of Commerce Community Festival: This was a huge deal. I was expecting something much smaller, but was pleasantly surprised when we walked in. Games, food, and fun everywhere. We wished we had put more time aside to spend it here, but we had to head off to our ward Trunk-r-treat.
New buckets right as we walked in.
Aj loved trying his hand at all the games. The only down side was he wouldn't play any of the games that didn't offer a prize at the end.
Andy tried so very hard....
...And got candy anyway.
we had a few people stop us and ask for our picture. They loved our family costume!
Church Trunk-r-treat: We rushed over to the church to set up our pirate car and treasure chest. The wind was out of control! I am just glad it wasn't' super cold.
Smee
Peter Pan
Captain Hook
Tinkerbell
The whole crew (joe is such a good sport to dress up every year!)
We had a few good sword fights as the night progressed.

An odd couple.
Last but not least (infact the best part) Trick-r-Treating: We just roamed around for a little while letting AJ guide the entire thing. He was such a sweet older brother. He made sure Andy got just as much candy as he did, even if he was a little slow getting to the door.
Saying hello to Joe's secretary at work
My favorite picture of the night!
I guess they made up.
The mega haul!
I guess now we have to get started on brainstorming for next year!
